Born to Dance in Havana
Milaila Capote has been teaching and performing Cuban dance since 1997. Trained at Cuba's most prestigious arts institutions — the Escuela Nacional de Artes (ENA) and the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) — she holds a Bachiller de Arte with a specialization in Cuban Folklore dance.

Milaila is a lead instructor and show group performer with Baila Habana, and has appeared in music videos alongside Cuba's top artists. Her teaching style is passionate and motivating — but exact and strict. Students leave her workshops not just inspired, but technically sharper.

Dance Styles
Salsa
The heartbeat of Cuban social dance. Milaila teaches Casino-style Salsa rooted in Havana's street tradition — focusing on musicality, partner connection, and the joy of dancing together.
Son
The foundation of Cuban music and dance. Son is where Salsa was born. Milaila teaches its elegant, grounded movement and the deep connection between rhythm and body.
Rumba
Raw, expressive, powerful. Rumba is the soul of Afro-Cuban culture. Milaila teaches its three main forms — Yambu, Guaguanco, and Columbia — with the energy and precision they demand.
Rueda de Casino
The group dance that turns any floor into a party. Multiple couples dance Salsa in a circle, following called moves in real time. Milaila brings the authentic Havana Rueda — fast, fun, and full of surprises.
Cuban Folklore
The sacred and traditional dances of Cuba's Afro-Cuban heritage. Milaila's academic specialty — she studied Folklore dance formally at ENA and ISA, giving her workshops a depth and authenticity that is rare outside Cuba.
